Bilingualism Course at Stoke Lodge, Bristol

I heard about a short course on bilingualism running in Bristol through La Casita, a Spanish playgroup that I (try to) attend regularly.  The course was run over two Saturday afternoons and I thought it would be a good chance to meet others in the same situation.

The course was run by a native French speaker (and teacher) and mum of three bilingual children. About 8 people took part including German, French, Polish and Italian speakers.

The content was quite familiar through the reading I had done, but it was helpful to hear other people’s thoughts, especially those further down the line with older children.  Following the course I helped set up a facebook group, Bilingual Parents Bristol for us to continue to share links and resources.

See the tab ‘Bilingual resources’ for links to some of the information we covered.
